I have almost 14 years of industrial work experience. First industrial work from 1997/01 to 2013/09, he was with the Wintek Corporation, Taichung City, Taiwan, as a product manager in Backlight and Lighting Products division. The second from 2013/092015/09, he was with the Epistar (FORMOSA EPITAXY) Corporation, Hsinchu City, Taiwan, as a product director in the R&D center division. The third from 2015/102016/04, he was with the SGS Taiwan Limited, New Taipei City, Taiwan, as an assistant manager in department of Optical and safety certification. The fourth from 2015/102016/04, he was with the SGS Taiwan Limited, New Taipei City, Taiwan, as an assistant manager in Optical and safety certification division. The last industrial work from 2016/042019/02, he was with Harvatek Corporation, Hsinchu City, Taiwan, as a chief technology officer (C.T.O.) in Marketing and R&D division.

During this period, I was very interested in academic research and teaching, and I also hoped to pass on my life-long work experience to students, so I switched jobs to teach at university.

In 2019, he joined the faculty of National Chung Cheng University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Opto-Mechatronics Engineering, where he is currently a full assistant professor.

My current research interests include optoelectronics, biomedical optoelectronics, semiconductors, and forward-looking displays. The research topics in the field of optoelectronics devices include UV LEDs, VCSEL, and Micro LEDs chip structure of internal quantum efficiency optimization research. Biomedical optoelectronics research uses non-invasive optical spectrum or image discrimination to detect physiological diseases. The semiconductor research topic is related to high-power GaN HEMT packaging, and the forward-looking display research topic is Mini, Micro LEDs display.

In terms of patent achievements, a total of 193 global patents have been certified so far. There are 41 US patents, 91 Taiwan patents, 56 Chinese patents, and 5 other countries granted. In academic research there are 19 international SCI journal articles have been published. Among them, there are 9 articles in the Q1 rankings, and 7 in the Q2 rankings. I also received numerous awards for his research, teaching, inventions and patent applications.

Project Abstract:

Our research team from the advanced optical and heat flow design Lab in innovative and advanced semiconductor technologies including optical design, heat flow, semiconductor packaged, chip process, etc. research areas include Micro/Mini LED, high power VCSEL, UVC-LED, optical biosensor, high power GaN semiconductor. Our applications include biological detection of light spectrum, micro LED display, Laser communication transmission, UVC LED sterilization and Space communication.
