Study regulations for student(Applicable to new students enrolled in the 115th academic year)

一、

Students of the belonged department must complete at least 135 credits upon graduation including:

 

1General Education 28 credits

2Professional compulsory 63 credits

3Professional elective 29 credits

4Free elective 15 credits

Choose at least 1 course from each of the "Information Skills Course" and Liberal Arts dimensions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The remaining credits can be choosen on courses to study information skills, foundamental theory or liberal arts in any dimension.
  • Refer to "National Chung Cheng University Students' General Education Regulations"
  • If you elect to take courses in the "Foundamental theory Courses" offered by the belonged department and the courses that are not counted as credits by the belonged department are listed in the "List of General Education Courses Not Taken as Credits by the Belonged Department", the courses will not be counted as the credits for general education courses.
  • Refer to the "Regulations on the Field of Physical Education for Bachelor Students of National Chung Cheng University"
"Social Practice Course" (compulsory one subject).
Physical education is a compulsory course of 0 credits for freshmen and sophomores; one course each for the first and second semesters.

(三)At least 29 credits on professional elective subjects
  1. All professional courses offered by the department are listed as professional elective credits.
  2. Elective credits from college of engineering majors can be listed as elective courses for this department, but the upper limit is 9 credits.
  3. "Modern Physics" in the Department of Physics is listed as an elective credit for majors.
  4. "General Chemistry I" in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is listed as an elective credit for majors.
(四)A total 15 credits on free elective courses
  1. Free elective subjects can take the professional elective courses of the belonged department or professional courses of other departments.
  2. Students from this department take elective courses with the same name as the department or general education center in external departments, which shall not be included in free elective credits and graduation credits.
  3. The credits for students who have overtaken the courses of general education could not be included in the calculation of free elective and graduation credits.
  4. The credits of elective military training (nursing) courses for the students of the belonged department shall not be included in the calculation of free elective and graduation credits
  5. Students of the belonged department who overtake or give up the credits of the education courses can be classified as free elective credits
  6. The credits of physical education courses for the belonged department are included in the calculation of graduation credits and are listed as free elective credits. Only that a semester is limited to 1 credit each
The social practice course is a compulsory course approved by the school, and all bachelor's students are required to take the social practice course certified by the Social Practice Curriculum Committee, and spend 6 to 10 hours of on-site practice.
